👋 Overview
Quiz Me ("we", "us", or "our") is a trivia app built by Rohan Paliwal. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using Quiz Me, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
📋 Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We use your name to generate a default username, which you can change.
Profile Data
We store the username and emoji avatar you choose during onboarding, along with your account creation date.
Game Data
We store your scores, correct answer counts, game history, streaks, XP, and leaderboard rankings to power in-app features.
Usage Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymised events such as screens viewed and buttons tapped. This data helps us understand how the app is used and improve it. No personally identifiable information is attached to analytics events.
Feedback
If you submit feedback through the app, we store the text you enter (topic suggestions, bug reports, general comments) along with the app version and submission timestamp.
Push Notification Token
If you grant notification permission, we store a device token to send streak reminders. You can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings.
Online Presence
We store a last-seen timestamp and online status to support real-time multiplayer matchmaking. This is not shown publicly beyond your match opponent.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Quiz Me uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

👦 Children's Privacy
Quiz Me is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
🌍 Data Storage & Transfers
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers. Firebase may store data in data centres located in the United States or other countries. By using Quiz Me, you consent to the transfer of your data to these servers.
🗑️ Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at paliwalrohan39@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account."
We will process your request within 7 days. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
🔄 Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
